Matthew Kim is a Korean American artist from Santa Cruz, California. Working in film, photography, and printmaking, his works engage with working class Asian American perspectives. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with degrees in Filmmaking and Fine art.
During his time at UCSC, Matthew was an Irwin Scholar, ICPC graduate, and worked in Documentary Distribution under the Dean of the Arts. He has exhibited his work in numerous galleries, including the Mary Porter Session Gallery, the Sesnon Underground, the Huntington Beach Art Center, and the Kyoto University of the Arts.
